Fifteen years ago, we started building homes in the Pacific Northwest as MN Custom Homes. Today, we’re closing that chapter and starting a new one: we’re now Azori.
Joe and Shaun founded this company in 2011 with a shared vision to create thoughtfully designed homes that pair elevated design with lasting craftsmanship. Since then, we’ve earned a reputation across Washington for disciplined execution, high-touch service, and a homebuilding experience that feels genuinely personal. That reputation is exactly what we’re carrying forward. Nothing about how we work is changing today. What’s changing is the name that finally reflects who we are and where we’re headed.
Why now, and why Azori
After 15 years, we’ve created a strong foundation for our company – growing in scale, design capability, and market ambition. We’ve refined how we build, elevated how we serve, and deepened our relationships with homeowners, brokers, and the communities we work in. Our previous name and identity no longer told that story clearly – and we heard that. The rebrand is not a change in who we are. It’s a new expression of it.
“Over the past 15 years, we’ve built more than homes — we’ve built trust, relationships and a standard of quality that stands the test of time,” said Joe Naeseth, our Co-Founder.
“Azori represents where we’re going next. It’s an evolution of our brand that reflects a more refined, design-driven and experience-focused approach, while staying true to the craftsmanship and care that got us here,” adds Shaun McFadden, CEO and Co-Founder.
What stays exactly the same
We still run as a vertically integrated team – architecture, interior design, and construction working together from the first sketch. That’s how we keep every home collaborative in its vision and consistent in its execution. It’s also how we back up our work after the keys change hands. Our Home Care Program runs on two teams: our Warranty Team, and Concierge Service, a recently launched annual membership that provides customers with a dedicated expert who personally manages all their home maintenance.
In a market where luxury is often defined by appearance alone, we pride ourselves on pairing thoughtful design with enduring quality centered around outstanding service – delivering homes that feel as exceptional years later as they do on day one.
We remain committed to delivering a seamless, client-first experience, from initial concept through post-move-in support, reinforced by our dedicated Home Care Program.
What does the name, Azori, mean?
The name Azori reflects who we’ve grown into: a builder defined by thoughtful design and a long-term commitment to our customers.
It carries warmth, quiet confidence, and a sense that every detail has been considered – because it has. The name Azori comes from the ancient word, azor, meaning “helper,” and it signifies our commitment to helping and providing exceptional service throughout the entire home experience.
